WHERE SERIOUSLY HAS THE TIME GONE!

So...I know I'm a wuss but I was listening to the song that plays when you open my blog and I got all choked up! I stole it from my sisters blog cause I loved it but it never really hit me til today. Rylee is growing up way too fast! I remember when she'd sleep all day curled up like a frog on my chest, and I'd say I can't wait til she can do more. Then once she started sitting up, I couldn't wait til she could crawl. Once she started crawling though of course I wanted her to walk so she'd stop wearing holes in her jeans, and so i wouldn't have to stress about the dirty floor she was crawling on. Well her walking didn't last long, now she's running everywhere. I wanted things to go faster but now I miss them! She's got quite the personality and vocabulary to go with it. A lot of times when you ask her a question instead of just saying plain old no or yes. She'll say ummmm...NO or YEAH!!! as loud as she can. The other day she went outside and yelled at a little boy down the sidewalk. "HEY KID...sudgu aeen mayu gosje gte" (a bunch of gibberish) then she nodded her head and walked away, like what she had just said made perfect sense. I just can't believe how much she's already understanding at 15 months. I just want to slow down time and keep her little while I can. She's turning into such a copy cat. She says "OH Shoot!" everytime she drops something and thats what i say. good thing its not something else :) And now when i get ready she has to sit in the sink with me while I put my makeup on and then pretend to put some on her too. Today as we were getting ready to go to church I said hey Ry do you want to go to church and see Jesus?(we go around the church halls and look at all the pictures of Christ before Sacrement.) She got all bright eyed and let out a long drawn out YEAH! She just cracks me up. Anyway point of this blog...enjoy the stage your life is in, soak up every good time and learn from every rough time. I know I miss the things I once wished would hurry by.

PICTURES OF HER WHILE SHE COULD CRAWL

She's already learning how to give some mighty fine dirty looks. I better prepare myself for when she's a teenager! But I won't be wishing for that stage anytime soon :)
This picture kills me. this is what i mean by she runs everywhere. believe it or not she didn't even fall. she was just going really fast!

THE GREATEST GIFT OF THE GARDEN IS THE RESTORATION OF THE FIVE SENSES. ~Hanna Rion~

The other day I spent about an hour picking peas out of my mom and dads garden with Rylee, and then sitting in the shade to eat them. Watching her pick her own peas and explore the garden, I was reminded of some of my most cherished days spent with my dad. My sisters and I used to help him plant things in the spring, and then helped pick everything in the fall. I loved coming home to my dad working in the garden, and its something I miss so much now that he cant . He loved working hand in hand with the Lords beautiful earth. This year however, my mom's the one who's had to take on the huge task of the garden. The other day while I was watching my Dad, I asked him what he wanted to go do with me and Rylee. His response just about broke my heart, he said, "All I want to do is go work in the garden." When the time comes, I sure hope The Lord will make sure theres nice big space of plain old dirt in heaven for my dad to transform into a beautiful garden.

Maybe Rylee will inherit my parents green thumbs. She finds everything so interesting in the garden. Its either rocks in her mouth or trying to pick up the bugs crawling by her feet, or pulling the leaves off of the plants.

OH SWEET MEMORIES!

My sister Amy did this and I thought it would be fun! Won't you come play along :)

Here are the rules:
1. Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together (it doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, just anything that you remember)
2. Re-post these instructions on your blog. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

STRENGTH ISN'T SOMETHING YOU HAVE ITS SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO FIND -EMMA SMITH-

LAST NIGHT MY SISTER LUCY SENT ME A TEXT WITH THE QUOTE ABOVE. I DON'T KNOW IF SHE THOUGHT MUCH OF IT BUT IT WAS SOMETHING I REALLY NEEDED. SHE JUST MADE ME FEEL SO BLESSED TO HAVE THE SIBLINGS I DO. THE LAST 3 YEARS OF MY LIFE WERE REALLY ROCKY. DURING ALL OF IT I REMEMBER FEELING LIKE I HAD LET MY FAMILY DOWN SO BAD. BUT THE FACT THAT THEY ALL CAME TOGETHER AND KEPT MY HEAD ABOVE WATER MADE ME REALIZE HOW GRATEFUL I AM, THAT WE CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER.THERE WERE SO MANY TIMES THAT I FELT LIKE I WAS AT THE END OF MY ROPE AND I'D OPEN MY HOTMAIL AND HAVE AN EMAIL FROM ONE OF MY BROTHERS. I SWEAR ON MY WORST DAYS ONE OF MY AMAZING SISTERS WOULD ALWAYS END UP CALLING AND I'D HANG UP FEELING BETTER. MY DAD WAS ON HIS MISSION WHEN I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT AND I JUST REMEMBER WANTING A BLESSING FROM HIM SO BAD. MY BROTHER TONY WHO WAS THE FIRST TO FIND OUT, FILLED IN FOR MY DAD AND GAVE ME THE MOST AMAZING AND POWERFUL BLESSING. STILL TO THIS DAY, I KNOW THAT BLESSING GAVE ME THE STRENGTH I NEEDED TO GET THROUGH MY PREGNANCY. I KNOW I COULD HAVE ASKED ANY OF MY BROTHERS OR BROTHER-IN-LAWS FOR THAT AND THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN WORTHY TO USE THEIR PRIESTHOOD POWER TO BLESS ME. I KNOW THAT THERE ARENT MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE SO BLESSED IN THAT WAY! I JUST FELT AN OVERWHELMING FEELING OF GRATITUDE TODAY FOR THE SIBLINGS THE LORD HAS BLESSED ME WITH AND THE MEN AND WOMEN THEY CHOSE TO MARRY. I'M SO THANKFUL FOR THE EXAMPLES THEY EACH ARE TO ME AND THAT I CAN TURN TO THEM FOR ADVICE. I LOOK UP TO EACH OF THEM SO MUCH AND WOULD NOT BE HERE WITHOUT THEIR LOVE AND SUPPORT. THEY REALLY HELPED ME FIND MY STRENGTH AND STILL DO. I LOVE THEM!

“I THINK AT A CHILDS BIRTH, IF A MOTHER COULD ASK A FAIRY GOD MOTHER TO ENDOW IT WITH THE MOST USEFULL GIFT,THAT GIFT WOULD BE CURIOUSITY” E.Roosevelt

both of us into our mothers makup!

Sometimes I wonder how it would be to experience the world as a child again. Its so amazing to watch Rylee experience things for the first time! She is such a curious little girl and looking back through pictures of me as a little girl...I realize WOW she's my daughter for sure! I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of both of us getting into mischief and being curious! She's just now starting to be more sneaky though when she's doing something she shouldn't. The other day she walked past me with her arm behind her back and when I said Rylee what do ya have, she started to run away. She had my razor which she must have gotten out of the tub by standing on her boat toy which she had put right under the ridge i set the razor on, and its up high. She's very determined and strong willed but I'm glad! She keeps our lives so exciting and I feel so blessed that the Lord trusted me to be her mother. Its the best job I could ever have, even if she is my mothers revenge on me for being so mischievous!

COULD WE LOOK ANY MORE LIKE EACHOTHER!
