Taya and ooo-ooo on the loose!

Well Taya boog as we've started calling her has turned into quite the curious little girl. I can already tell she's going to be my little mischevious one! I thought it was so funny when I went to take these pictures that ooo-ooo (her favorite stuffed monkey) was in the perfect possition already for the picture.

Emptying out drawers is by far her favorite hobby! Its right up there with eating paper and sucking on binkies! I know its hard to believe but the pictures on the right, she took out all of those clothes herself...with no help from me or Rylee.

Oh and in case you ever come to visit us and need to use the restroom...just a heads up...this is what we offer as a roll of tp :)! Thanks to you Taya Boog!

she's a funny little thing!

Last night my mom was washing her hands and Rylee was standing behind her. Rylee starts giggling really hard and says "Grandma you're shaking your bum bum!" Ha just you wait Rylee, I'm sure I've past the awesome Blauer butt right on down to you. Before you know it, doing simple things like rubbing soap on your hands fast, will make your butt shake too!

Every night at bedime we do the same routine. Rylee picks a song for me to sing, which right now is always a christmas one, we say a prayer, do bad dreams bad dreams go away, and then we do butterfly kisses and both giggle. As I walk out of the room we both say I love you the most! She's such a fun little girl and now that she doesn't put up such a fight, bedtime is my favorite one on one time with her. Last night after the typical routine before I got up to walk out though she said, "hey mom, let talk for a second." Then she went on to tell me this...

"Mom let me tell you a story," I said sure Ry, go a head. She says, "Well one time there was this big big storm, it was a way scary storm! and then Jesus wasn't scared, He made it go all away!" She told the story with all this enthusiasm its was so cute! I love when I see the things we try and teach her stick with her. she's such a smart little thing.

Last one,

"After the Jesus storm story, I said alright Ry time for bed and went to leave. She says "WAIT mom, then she kinda wispers. come here I gotta tell ya something! She tells me "I'm gunna give you a surpise for Christmas! I'm gunna give you a birthday cake with candles! Thats a good christmas mom?"

So there ya have it, I have a pretty darn funny little girl! 2 1/2 going on 15!

2 times baby, 2 times!

If ya know us you'll get the 2 times title...anyway it pretty much just means I'm so excited that...."DER'S ACCEPTED!!!! he got the exciting and super anticipated call on Monday from Provo College telling him that he'd been accepted! I about shot through the roof and even though Der played it cool I know he was dancing around inside like a little school girl! We weren't expecting to find out until the middle of December so it was the best surprise ever! Now I have to take a second to have a little "proud wifey" moment ;) The picture of Derek above is one of my favorite! If you know Der then ya know this is how he is about 99% of the time, hat cocked off to the left, a hoody or t-shirt and bball shorts...(ya can't see them in the picture but trust me -they're there) Anyway he's been working so hard this past year and a half that we've been here in Ephraim. He's bettered himself so much and is finally on a career path that he feels confident about. I'm so proud of him, so proud and thankful to call him my husband, and so happy that all his hard work is paying off! He's such a smart guy and I know he's going to do awesome in this career! I love you Der, you deserve this! 2 times baby, 2 times!

More often then not, I get back from running errands all over the town and realize when I walk in the door that I've been everywhere looking like a pirate with only one earing in! And yes that cute little girl above is always to blame! Who knows maybe I'll start a cool trend?! Yeah I know probably not! most people probably just look at me and think um hey crazy lady you only have one big hoop earing in! But hey I either have a kid pulling on my pant leg or tugging on my hand and now one always pulling on my hair, big nose and ears, how the heck am I supposed to know whats been pulled off! at least i'm not running around with only one pant leg right ;) well I hope all the rest of you frazzled one earing wearing mothers have a lovely day!

I swear we were just saying goodbye to summer and now fall is coming to an end too! We've managed to squeeze in a few fun things into the short season though, don't you worry! We've found the time to...

LEARN new tricks- Taya used to be our little mellow baby...key words used to! She's coming out of her shell and wanting to be crazy like her big sister. We finally figured out that wrapping her up as a "burrito baby" was the only way to get her to sleep and thats just what we had to do with Ry. For being such a solid little girl she's gotten pretty mobile in this last month. she's just about mastered crawling and pulls herself up to stand anytime she can. She's beautiful and just sweet as can be! We love our Taya!

GROW!- It still tugs at me a little when I watch and listen to Rylee. This little girl is so far past being a baby and I have no idea how it happened :) She's our "little miss thing" and I call her that a few times a day at least! She's full of attitude and arguments to go along with it! More then once a day she cracks us up with something she says or does. She's such a smart little girl and beautiful to go with it! We're so blessed to have such beautiful healthy and smart little girls!

COMPAIR faces- We've had a few people say Taya looks a ton like my mom. We've all been so used to thinkin she was a female clone of Derek we didn't even notice...what do you think!?

NAP!- Its not much of a rare occasion to go into one of the bedrooms and find one of Rylees toys taking a nap. She always has a blanket or a hand towel over them with just their heads poking out. In this case Ry was supposed to be the one napping and instead she said her Mermee (mermaid) needed a nap! :)

PLAY!-I remember when I was little that there was nothing more fun then playing in a big pile of leaves! Between Rylee running and jumping into them like a mad woman and Taya eating them, they both had a blast!

PRETEND!- I kinda sorta promised Derek that I wouldn't post these pics on the blog but when I was putting together pictures for this post I couldn't resist! (sorry der :) but coming out to find these two pretend playing princesses was so cute! Ry and Derek butted heads so much for a while it was enough to make me crazy, but over the last couple months they've really started to be little buddies.

BREATH- Theres nothing like a trip up the mountains to just remind you to breath! Its been a stressful month being in limbo waiting to hear about school. This day we just decided to run 20min away up the mountain and just relax and breath in the fresh mountain air. It was some good medicine!

HARVEST- We went to the pumpkin patch in Gunnison and the girls had a blast. Rylee couldn't believe how many pumpkins there were!

and last but not least....

INDULDGE! in the finer things of life!:) Rylee came running into my room crying saying Taya stole my cookie! I went out and found this!

HOW CUTE ARE THESE LITTLE GIRLS TOGETHER! TAYAS COSTUME IS THE SAME ONE RYLEE WORE FOR HER FIRST HALLOWEEN AND ITS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE! I DECIDED TO MAKE RYLEE A "SIGGY" COSTUME. NOTE TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE, SEWING ON THIS FURRY FLEECE WAS A NIGHTMARE! :) BUT WITH THE HELP OF MY TALENTED MOM WE MANAGED TO PULL OFF A PRETTY DARN CUTE SIGGY! THE GIRLS HAD FUN EVEN THOUGH RYLEE DECIDED TO BE A "MEAN CAT" AS SHE PUT IT. IF YOU ASKED HER WHAT SHE WAS SHE SAID SIGGY, IF YOU ASKED HER WHAT HER SISTER WAS SHE SAID "A FAT CHICK" IT WAS AWESOME. OF COURSE WAL MART OWNED DEREK FOR ALL THE HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES SO WE JUST HAD A LOT OF GIRL TIME! I KNOW HE WAS BUMMED THOUGH SO WE MADE SURE TO GO SEE HIM AT WORK! ANYWAY LOTS OF FUN AND AFTER I WIPED IT DOWN WITH SANI WIPES...WAY TOO MUCH CANDY :)

(don't feel like ya have to read this post its more of a little journal entry for me :) but by all means if you're bored, read away!)

Alright so after a good cry last night on the best sholder in the world (dereks) I'm feeling much better. :) poor derek is surrounded by emotional little women that to him probably seem to cry all day at the drop of a pin! But nonetheless he sat and listened to me cry my frustrations out til that stupid wall came tumbling down just enough that I could step right over it and see all the stuff on the other side that I need to be grateful for! I'm blessed! That doesn't mean that I don't sometimes get caught up in the trivial things, or see things that other people have that I wish I did. I've been seeing others thinking how can they ever complain!? they have everything that I've always wanted, and they got it all so easily! I know, such a stupid thing for me to waste energy on, especially when I need so much of it to be the kind of mom and wife I really want to be. This mom job sure is a tough one and sometimes it just feels good to cry cause of it, but there sure are a ton of woman out there who have survied motherhood so I'm sure I can too :) Anyway know this, I do know I'm a very lucky person to have all that I do. Great husband, 2 beautiful daughters of God, An awesome eternal family on both sides, the Gospel, a place to live (even though its crammed right now its, clean, cute, and warm!) and on and on!

I've hit a wall. don't wanna work out. feeling gross in my nursing body, getting no sleep and looking over the fence into other peoples yards seeing the illusion of way greener grass ha! so tonight i'm gunna chill up against this stupid wall feeling frustrated and exhausted and tomorrow i'll try and bust it down!

BYE BYE binky! Thanks for all the quiet time you've helped me give my mom and dad! I bet they're gunna miss you almost as much as me! Sorry I had to send you away into the sky, but mom said you were making my teeth "bucky teeth" and plus I've decided I'm gunna be a big girl and binkies are for babies! I'll miss you! love Lylee!

Yes I'm doing a blog in honor of our dear friend "the binky"! Even though she's only been getting her binky at nap, and bed time for the last year, looking at her teeth is giving me flash backs to my ugly teeth from sucking my finger so we've taken the leap and said peace out to the binky. I know this will sound so wierd but the sound of Rylee sucking her binky at night,when she was brand new, was one of the most comforting sounds in the world to me during such a hard time in my life. I remember taking her out of her bassenett, laying her next to me and just putting my face next to hers and falling asleep to "the binky sound." I'm sure its going to make some of you laugh but I'm getting teared up now just thinking of it. I've said it many times but Rylee saved our lives...and come to think of it now, I'm sure the binky saved hers a few times too :) We'll miss you binky!

2 year olds prayer

Today at Wal-mart Rylee threw a really big fit over wanting a little purse thing full of lip smackers chapstick as we were leaving the store. She bawled the whole way home about wanting the "make-up" as she called it. When we got home and she calmed down I promised her as soon as she starts pooping in the potty that I'd go buy her the make-up. Well about 4-5 hours we were at my moms and i dished her up some potatoes everyone else had already ate but she said oh gotta say a prayer! So i said go ahead Ry, this is how her prayer went, which she said compelety by herself. "Heavenly Father, Thank you for the food, please some make-up, I poop in the potty, Thank you for Jesus, Jesus Christ, AMEN!" By the time she was done I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes, half because of how funny it was and half because she seemed like such a big girl! I'd like to think that, that Prayer made God smile. Such a pure and honest little prayer, make up and poop was what was important to her! I LOVE THIS GIRL!

Maple Canyon

I love conference weekend! This year my sister Liz and her 4 kids and husband came down and we all went to Maple Canyon. My mom made dutch oven which is my FAVORITE! It was so relaxing to get away from it all and enjoy the beautiful mountains! Rylee loved playing with her cousins too, and as ya can see we had tons of fun!

6 months...

and 17lbs 6oz, 27 1/4 inches later, we're even more in love with this chunky little girl then we were the first second we saw her which was pretty crazy in love! Yes Taya is already 6 months old as of 3 days ago! that means she's half way to being a year old and that means rylee is 6 months away from being 3?! what the heck is happening! whatever it is it needs to SLOW DOWN! Taya is and has been such a joy in our family. She brings the calm into our home and balances out Rylee :) She's sitting up, babbling all day, smily as can be and just overall a gem! She keeps having rough bouts of teething trying to get these stinkin bottom teeth in but Rylee was the same way, her teeth took forever to cut. Its no fun seeing her feel miserable and grumpy especially sense its so out of charactor for her! Well anyway I've turned 23 today, have 2 beautiful healthy little girls and an awesome husband. My life is simple, and I am blessed.

Happy 47th Anniversary to my wonderful parents! In a failing world with such loose morals, I'm so thankful, to have the example of my parents making their marriage work! It gives me comfort and confidence that Derek and I can make our life a happy and eternal one together if we always chose to work hard and fall in love with each other over and over! Some of my favorite memories of my parents together:
