6 months...

and 17lbs 6oz, 27 1/4 inches later, we're even more in love with this chunky little girl then we were the first second we saw her which was pretty crazy in love! Yes Taya is already 6 months old as of 3 days ago! that means she's half way to being a year old and that means rylee is 6 months away from being 3?! what the heck is happening! whatever it is it needs to SLOW DOWN! Taya is and has been such a joy in our family. She brings the calm into our home and balances out Rylee :) She's sitting up, babbling all day, smily as can be and just overall a gem! She keeps having rough bouts of teething trying to get these stinkin bottom teeth in but Rylee was the same way, her teeth took forever to cut. Its no fun seeing her feel miserable and grumpy especially sense its so out of charactor for her! Well anyway I've turned 23 today, have 2 beautiful healthy little girls and an awesome husband. My life is simple, and I am blessed.

We love you beautiful miss cheeks!

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. ~Mignon McLaughlin

Happy 47th Anniversary to my wonderful parents! In a failing world with such loose morals, I'm so thankful, to have the example of my parents making their marriage work! It gives me comfort and confidence that Derek and I can make our life a happy and eternal one together if we always chose to work hard and fall in love with each other over and over! Some of my favorite memories of my parents together:
*Dad calling mom Neen
*Watching them hold hands walking into my softball games (for some reason this image is clear in my mind)
*Dad being a gentleman to his sweetheart.
*Mom saying "oh Clyde"
*Them gardening together
* Walking into their room and seeing them kneeling together in prayer
*Them coming to support me in my various extra caricular activities and always thinking they dressed so funny
*Always knowing no matter what that they loved each other...inperfections and all!
I love you Mom and Dad! Happy Anniversary!

Last night I went and sat outside and had to go back in to put a hoody on...guess that means summer is coming to an end! Heres a little picture overload of some of our last summer fun. I'm not ready for summer to end, I never am, so we're soaking every last bit of it up!
Taya is growing and growing like a weed!
I found Ry outside just a chilling like this! She cracks me up. Andi and Everett brought the girls back a bunch of cute little stuff from their wedding trip to hawaii!
Our last swim in the manti pool!
I swore i'd never be a mom who let her kid go out in public dressed like a dork...well here ya go I'm eating my words! it just wasn't worth the fight so i let ry wear her boots to the pool!
My little TV addicts
Our anniversary trip to lagoon. gotta love that they had to explain that you shouldn't sit on that fence!
Rylee and Tre her little friend that lives in the apt next to us. They're best little buddies and raise hell together already at the ripe age of 2. I caught them streaking outside a few days ago together, no joke!
Pretty miss Oakley

Riding the "forsees" as rylee puts it, at the Denton farm.

how cute are they!
I sure think she's pretty!
Bath time with sissies!
Taya getting to be such big girl! she started eating rice cereal and loves it!
The girls love uncle Merv!
Rylee and her monkey toes! Derek thinks its so wierd that i can pick up stuff with my toes so i died when i saw ry doing this! anyway there ya have it, a ton of pictures from summer 2009!

theres nothing like the smell of the good ol fair!

You can tell that fall is in the air when the fair comes to town! Theres nothing like the smell of dust and cow poop, combined with the somewhat frightening looks from the carnies and being motion sick from riding the dirty rides! but regardless of how gross the fair is...we couldn't resist going!

We ended up spending $40...yes $40 bucks on tickets for this little girl to ride rides! We bought one sheet of $20 tickets and were sure that they would be plents! Well we totally got suckered in by the sight of her raising her arms on the rides and screaming WAHOO that we ended up going and buying another sheet of 20 and soaking it all in!

Inbetween rides we took her to see the animals which she LOVED, and still asks to go see them today!
Wonderful Andi came and enjoyed the nauseating smells with us which to her I'm sure were even worse seeing as she just found out she's pregnant! We're SO excited for her!
Wonderful Uncle Tony and Aunt Jenny watched the girls so Derek and I could go to the Dirby together! SO fun! We love watching Andi's brother Nick dirby, he's so crazy!

Growing up I drug around a yellow ragedy and andy tricot blanket everywhere I went. I'd suck my finger and rub the ruffle all day long if I could. I even remember spilling something on the ruffle once and it was my favorite spot to rub because it felt different from the rest of the ruffle. I would sit by the washer when it was washed and then sit by the dryer while it dried. I still remember how much I loved that little blanket. Well now, for every grandkids 1st birthday present my mom makes a soft cozy tricot blanket. Early on with Taya though, we noticed she loved the feeling of silk on her face when she sleeps, so I went and found the cutest material and my mom being the gem she is just made Tayas blanket for her a little early! I love little traditions like this! I love tucking Rylee in at night with her silky blanket and watching her rub the ruffle to fall asleep just like I did. I loved watching Taya burrow her little face into the silk of her blanket tonight to fall alseep. I'm so glad my mom made these little "drag around blankies," as she calls them, a tradition cause my girls sure love theirs! Thanks mommy!

one TWO three four common baby say you love me...

*Sappy post ahead...i warned ya :)* Well we've done it! 2 years down! Let me take you back about 4 years when we were first dating....Derek would always come into Bon Losee where I was going to school and help me get hours by having me give him hair cuts and scalp treatments. We spent so much time there talking and laughing, it was for sure my favorite part of school! One day this song 123 by gloria estefan came on at school and when I walked back to my station where Derek was, I totally caught him singing every word! I fell in love! He was embarrassed but I couldn't stop laughing, he looked so cute singing away! Derek takes a while to completely warm up but once he does he's such a goof and thats always been one of the many things I absolutly love about him! He's my best friend I couldn't imagine my life without him as corny as that sounds. We went through some lovely trials mostly brought on by our own stupidity but now that they've come and gone and we've been married for 2 years I can't believe how much stronger we are and how I love him more then I could ever have imagined possible! I'm so thankful to be blessed with such an awesome husband. He might leave his socks on the floor and forget to fold up the girls diapers after he changes them but I'll take him with all of his little quirks any day over anyone in this world! I love ya Der couldn't love you more!!!
