Happy Merry Christmas 2010

When Rylee would wish people a Merry Christmas, she'd always say "Happy Merry Christmas" I loved it, and I loved our quiet Christmas this year! Although I felt a void without my sweet dad here this year, I was able to feel peace and love as I spent this first Christmas without him, with his Sweetheart, my Mom. We relaxed, napped, stayed in our pjs alll day and snacked on yummy food. On Christmas Eve my brother Tony and his family came to my moms to do our annual reinactment of the Nativity scene, had a soup and breadsticks dinner and just had fun together! It was just the kind of R&R we needed! now for an over load of pictures like usual :)

Taya LOVED being the baby Jesus! these pictures were taken like 20 min after we were done doing the "play" she was so funny!

Baby Jesus and our pretty Wise...woman ;)

We had to set out caramel rice crispie treats for santa cause we didn't have any cookies. Ry was SO excited!

After the girls went to bed we got to play Santa! it was so fun this year, knowing how excited they were gunna be in the morning! between the few presents we got them and all the fun things everyone else got them, they were totally spoiled! we have such good family and friends!

Taya was the first up, and was all excited to wear "HO HO's" hat as she calls him. She snuck into her stocking while we were making breakfast and found her "neigh neigh"

pretty sure, they're pretty cute!

Now for opening presents! they had SO much fun and were both excited about every present big and small!

They especially LOVED their pillow pets, they both jumped up and down when they opened them, i'm so mad i didn't catch it on video!

Rylees special present was her makeup, which shes worn every day sence...she's such a cute little girly girl!

Rylee wanted to be a good big sister and shared her makeup with Taya...they're so cute!

My cute mom sent us on a scavenger hunt to find our present. My Dad always sent the older kids on hunts to get their gift of money so that it was more exciting present...scavenger hunt or not, $ is always an awesome present at our house :) My mom did a good job this year and had us looking hard while she just laughed away. We finally found our money in the freezer...$40 of change was frozen in a fish bowl of water with the rest of the bills all each wrapped in tin foil...she told us the change was a savings account...it was pretty fun! My sisters and my mom also all went in on a brand new sweing machine for me, I'm SO excited to use it!

Me and Derek decided to keep our presents to eachother small this year. He got me a gift certificate to a massage place up here so I can have a little day away on one of his days off, I'm excited to save that sucker for a rainy mom day! :) I transfered his high school highlight tape to DVD, and got him some shoes, boxers and a wallet...all needed stuff for the man, seein as hes worked a hole through his shoes, most of his boxers, and his wallet this year ha! His mom bought his old HS jersey from the school too which he was so excited about, his parents also gave us some $ too, we were really blessed this year with all we needed and some!

So thankful for my beautiful Mom.

Our last night at Grandmas finished off in the perfect way...Grilled cheese and cocoa! :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A prayer for Sissy

The other day Taya all of a sudden started acting like she was in lots of pain, and kept grabbing at her tummy...I tried everything to calm her screaming down and finally she just laid on her Aunt tonya and whimpered. I thought to myself, if this doesnt stop soon I'll have to take her to the ER, I had no idea what was wrong and was getting a little scared. Rylee could see I was worried and she pulled on my arm and asked if Taya was going to be ok. I could see how scared she was too so I asked her if she wanted to say a little prayer for Taya. She immediatly nodded and folded her arms and started to pray. Her prayer was simple, "Heavenly Father, please help Taya feel better, please help her be smart and healthy, name of Jesus Christ, Amen." Taya had been laying on Tonya whimpering for almost 20 min, and no longer then 5 min after Rylee finished her prayer, Taya jumped up and started playing and acted just fine. I asked her why Taya felt better and she said "look mom, Jesus listened!" I looked at my 3 yr old and was amazed at her pure faith in our Heavenly Father, and his Son, and was humbled by the love I felt from Him, working through my sweet little girls. It was a blessing I will never forget.

her first sentence

Yes I know its not the most exciting thing in the world but one I want to remember none the less. Miss Taya said her first full sentence this week and it made me want to eat her up, she was soo cute! I'm sitting in church with her, giving her flips pretzles to keep her quiet. I handed her one and told her only 1 more ok. 5 seconds later after she finished her one last one, she walks up to me, says "Mom, please, (holds up her pointer finger) ooonne (drug out the word) more?!" and then she smiled all big.  Seriously she's such a fun smart little thing! LOVE her!

Merry Christmas Baby!

Well this months been a crazy and busy one but theres been lots of fun! Derek just finished his last 2 pre req classes and now we're just waiting to find out if a spot opens up at Provo College...(keep your fingers crossed!) Our girls have been soaking up every bit of this beautiful season, life and everything about it, big and small, is so much more fun experiencing it with them! Rylee got to ask Santa for 1 present and 1 from me and Der, she's been so cute trying to decide! She finally asked Santa for makeup...yay! ;) Taya would be happy with a big stuffed puppy and a kitty or Mimi as she calls them. She's so cute right now and in a fun strong willed stage! I've been able to do enough hair in November and this month, to earn some Christmas money which has been so nice! I'm so thankful for the blessings that have come our way this month. There was so much going on and little by little things have each been working out. now we're just waiting on the last big thing and hoping we're on the right track and things work out! 1 week til Christmas, I cant believe how fast its gone, kinda makes me sad! I love this time of year! Now all we need is a ton of snow and a day of sledding! Merry Christmas Everyone!

I wish they would never...

I wish they would never have to feel pain, rejection, dissapointment, frustration or heartache. I hope they will never question their values and all the things I'm trying to teach them. but then again they'll need to question things to know them deep in their own hearts. I wish they would never have to fail at anything or feel like they're small. but then how would they ever know how great they can be if they dont fail and get back up? I wish I could freeze time right now while they're pure innocent and full of giggles and screams, but then I'd never get to see the wonderful women I know they can grow to be. I can only savor each day with them as they grow. I can only hug them a little tighter, and soften my voice and parent them with all the love I feel for them. I can only pray each night that as my daughters grow, they'll always know I'm here, to talk to, to confide in, to tell the good and bad to, and to love them with every ounce of my being, because wether I like it or not, they'll grow!
