ITS A GIRL! WE CAN'T WAIT FOR RYLEE TO HAVE A LITTLE SISTER. ITS PERFECT AND WE COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED!

Rylee and Mr Siggy. I asked Derek what we should name him and the first name he shot off was sigmond. you cant name a cute tiny cat sigmond, thats an old man name... so thats where siggy came from, or siddy as ry says it.

The other day i opened our front door to find a tiny black kitty sitting on our door mat meowing. i've always been a softy when it came to animals especially strays so i brought it in thinking we'd just feed it and let it be warm and then take it to my moms. Derek was all against the poor kitty and thought i was crazy for bathing it and wanting to keep it... well its a week later and Siggy is still living with us.iDereks actually its first choice of whos lap to lay on and sleep by, and even though Derek tries to act like he didn't want the cat. i always catch him playing with it.Ry loves him and he's the first thing she asks for when she wakes up. she pulls a little ribbon all through the house while he chases her and if he's napping she'll go and lay her head right by him to watch tv. Also Rylee had her first visit to nursery! it about killed me but we tried and she only lasted 20 minutes without getting scared. next time maybe we'll make it 30.

TRICK OR TREAT! Rylee loved that all she had to say was please and people would drop her candy! she told everyone thank you all excited. It was so much fun!

Well theres all our October/halloween pictures. i went a little crazy with the camera once i got ry in her costume! we had so much fun today. we went to the elementary parade in manti to watch my niece and nephew walk in it, and rylee ended up holding my nieces hand and walking in the whole parade with her. she had a blast! then we went to my parents ward trunk or treat and she had a blast there too of course. Derek had to work tonight but we made sure to go and see him in his awesome Luigi costume. FUN FUN FUN!

Well its been a nice couple of weeks finally without the puking! YAY no more morning sickness! its so nice to wake up and be able to function like an almost normal human being. But even though theres no more morning sickness...theres terrible twos to go around. Rylees keeping me busy as usual, and i'm hearing her say "oh MAN, and oh SHOOT" quite a lot through each day. She's so expressive and is developing quite the vocabulary. I just got back from a busy weekend doing hair in CO. Rylee had fun with Grandma and Papa Miller, and we got to see Dereks brother and his wife Ashley for the first time sense Christmas. It was a fun weekend. Other then that, Dereks still trucking away to school and work on his awesome bike, doing really good in his classes, and me I'm just looking forward to Nov 10 when we get to find out what we're having! CANT WAIT!

TODAY AS I PULLED UP TO MY PARENTS TO DO YET ANOTHER LOAD OF DREADED LAUNDRY, I SAW THE FAMILIAR SIGHT OF MY MOM WORKING IN HER FLOWER GARDENS. MY MOM HAS ALWAYS TAKEN SUCH PRIDE IN HER AMAZING TALENT OF MAKING HER SURROUNDINGS BEAUTIFUL. ITS ALWAYS BEEN SUCH A SAD TIME OF YEAR TO WATCH HER FLOWER MASTERPIECES DIE AWAY TO THE WINTER. BUT FOR SOME REASON WHEN I CAME TODAY IT WAS MORE COMFORTING THAN SAD TO SEE HER IN THE YARD PREPARING FOR WINTER. I'M SO THANKFUL SHE HAS THE HEALTH TO KEEP UP WITH SOMETHING SHE LOVES SO MUCH. THIS YEAR HAS BEEN SO DIFFERENT AND SAD FOR ME WATCHING HER DO ALL THE YARD WORK INSTEAD OF MY DAD. IT WAS THE KIND OF CHANGE I WISH I'D NEVER HAD TO SEE. I WISH FOREVER I COULD COME HOME TO BOTH OF THEM TENDING TO THE YARD BUT EVEN THOUGH THE SEASONS ARE CONSISTANT LIFE HAS TO CHANGE. IT JUST FELT GOOD TO SIT WITH HER IN THE COOL FALL AIR AND WATCH MY DAUGHTER FOLLOW HER EVERY MOVE. RYLEE ABSOULUTLY ADORES HER GRANDMA AND MY MOM MAKES SUCH AN EFFORT TO BE SO LOVING AND PATIENT WITH HER. I CANT WAIT FOR THE DAY WHEN RYLEE CAN COME HOME TO ME WORKING IN MY GARDEN WITH MY DIRTY CLOTHS AND WINDBLOWN HAIR! I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR AND I LOVE YOU MOM!

Find Joy in the Journey!

Today Derek and I were trying to watch a little of the morning confrence, between Rylee needing her butt changed and climbing all over us, this message jumped out at me. Find Joy in the Journey. President Monsons morning talk was such an inspiring one, and one that we could really relate to! Derek was actually in the middle of picking up rylees toys when we heard Monson say, (paraphased) those of you who are still raising small children will find times when tiny finger prints seem to find there way on every newly cleaned serface, toys will be scattered through your home and the piles of laundry will seem endless but those times will pass and you'll look back on them and miss them! He said Find Joy in the Journey a few times through the talk, and It just felt like he was talking right to us. I hope I can do better at finding Joy in the wonderful life i've been blessed with .I have an amazing husband beautiful daughter, and a healthy tiny baby cookin right now thats finally not making me so sick! I'm thankful I remembered to turn on confrence cause even though we didn't watch all of it, I was hit by a message I needed. Somedays do feel endless and my mom job never seems to lighten but man its a rewarding job better than any other! Anyway just thought I'd share my warm fuzzy feelings :) have a good day

Well as usual Rylee is keeping me busy as ever. Nobody warned me that morning sickness lasted all day or that the terrible twos start before your kid turns two. Man whoever thought up these names for things, sure gave a false impression! Anyway just thought i'd post some pictures of our everyday happenings. Rylees new fasination is drawing on herself her toys anything she can get a pen to work on. Of course tho after she's done drawing on herself she wants me to wash it off cause its "eew messy" is what she says. I also found her under our bed with this nice invention of a helmet! ha she's always making me laugh! Oh and we finally sold our car and Dereks riding around town on this oh so sexy bike! yes oh yes he installed this nice grandpa seat all himself after riding on a normal one just once he said his butt hurt too bad and he came home after work with this sexy seat! ha i gotta love the guy!

Well another year has come and gone! I know I say it a lot but time seriously seems to be flying by! I thought I'd throw a few pictures of my birthday get away with Derek. I had told him I really wanted to go up the canyon to pick leaves. Its something I used to do with my dad in the fall and I really love the mountains this time of year. It was so nice to get away just us two and just wander around taking pictures of the pretty mountains I love the aspen trees if you can't tell! Such a relaxing day and it barely cost us a thing :)! Now what does the night have in store...hmmm yeah my pregnant butt will prob be in bed by 10 ha gone are the days of staying up all night. Birthdays now are just a reminder i'm on my way to being an old lady. But at least it gave us a good reason for babysitter grandma and some nice alone time!

6 UNSPECTACULAR QUIRKS I HAVE.

I'VE BEEN TAGGED BY MY SISTER AMY. I'M SUPPOSED TO LIST 6 OF MY UNSPECTACULAR QUIRKS WHICH SHOULD BE EASY. HERE GOES...BRACE YOURSELF.

#1. I WORRY! NOT NORMAL AMOUNTS OF WORRY I STRESS MYSELF OUT WORRY. THE OTHER NIGHT WHILE DEREK WAS WORKING I GOT OUT OF THE TUB AND SWORE SOMEONE WAS IN MY HOUSE SO I HAD TO DIAL 911 ON MY CELL AND HAD MY THUMB ON SEND WHILE I TIP TOED THROUGH THE HOUSE CHECKING BEHIND EVERY DOOR UNDER THE BEDS ECT. THEN I LOCKED EVERYTHING AND WENT TO SLEEP ON THE COUCH WITH THE TV ON. I DO STUFF LIKE THAT A LOT. MAKING SURE THINGS ARE LOCKED. HALF OF THE TIME IF I'M LEAVING TO RUN ERRANDS I'LL GET TO MAIN-STREET AND SWEAR I LEFT MY STRAIGHTENER ON OR THE IRON PLUGGED IN SO I HAVE TO TURN BACK AND GO DOUBLE CHECK. YEAH I'M A NUT.

#2. I HAVE WEIRD BOUTS OF OCD. IF I LOOK IN THE CUPBOARD AND NOTICE SOME OF THE LABELS AREN'T FACING FORWARD, I END UP HAVING TO ORGANIZE ALL OF THEM. DEREK HATES PUTTING GROCERIES AWAY WITH ME. I ALSO HATE WHEN THERE'S DRIED TOOTHPASTE IN THE SINK BUT IF I START CLEANING IT I HAVE TO CLEAN THE WHOLE STUPID BATHROOM EVEN IF I CLEANED IT THE DAY BEFORE.

#3. I TALK A LOT! I'M NOT THE PERSON TO CALL IF YOU WANNA HAVE A SHORT CONVO.

#4. I'M A NAIL BITER! I HAVE BEEN SENSE I WAS LITTLE AND FOR SOME GROSS REASON I'M STILL HAVING A HARD TIME KICKING THE HABIT!

#5. I CAN'T STAND THE FEEL OF STEEL WOOL, OR MEDICAL COTTON. JUST TYPING THE WORDS GAVE ME THE CHILLS. IF I HAVE TO CLEAN ANYTHING WITH A STEEL WOOL PAD I HAVE TO HAVE RUBBER GLOVES ON AND I HAVE TO DO IT FAST! AND IF I OPEN A BOTTLE OF PILLS I HAVE TO HAVE DEREK PULL OUT THE COTTON. SOMETHING ABOUT IT JUST GIVES ME THE HEEBIE JEEBIES!

#6. I'M SO JUMPY. I GET STARTLED SO EASY I CAN'T EVEN OPEN A CONTAINER OF CRESCENT ROLLS. (YA KNOW HOW YOU HAVE TO PULL THE PAPER AND IT POPS OPEN) I DON'T LIKE THE FEELING OF ANTICIPATION. EVEN IF I KNOW ITS GOING TO MAKE A LOUD NOISE IT STILL MAKES ME JUMP. I'M THE EASIEST PERSON TO SCARE. I'M PRETTY MUCH JUST A WUSS.

ONE YEAR DOWN FOREVER TO GO!

WELL WE DID IT! WITH A LOT OF HARD WORK, LOTS OF LOVE, LAUGHING, AND A FEW GOOD FIGHTS, WE DID IT! SEPTEMBER 1 A YEAR AGO WE WERE SAYING I DO AND SHOVING CAKE IN EACHOTHERS FACES, NOW WE'RE GOING THROUGH SCHOOL AGAIN, BEING POOR AND HAVING BABY #2!. ITS CRAZY HOW FAST THE TIME WENT BY. I'M SO THANKFUL FOR THE PAST YEAR AND FOR THE LOVE DEREK AND I HAVE AND THE LIFE WE'RE BUILDING TOGETHER. WE STILL HAVE A LOT OF LEARNING TO DO AND A LIFE TIME TO DO IT, BUT I'M SO THANKFUL I'LL HAVE HIM BY MY SIDE THROUGH THE UPS AND DOWNS LIFES SURE TO TOSS US. I'M THANKFUL THAT WE MADE THE LIFE CHANGES WE NEEDED TO MAKE SO THAT WE COULD HAVE A HAPPY MARRIAGE AND BUILD A FAMILY. HOPEFULLY BEING SEALED TOGETHER WILL BE SHORTLY DOWN THE ROAD. UNTIL THEN, WE'LL KEEP LEARNING LOVING LAUGHING AND OF COURSE THE OCCASIONAL FIGHTING :) THANKS FOR ALL THE LOVE SUPPORT AND ADVICE A LOT OF YOU HAVE GIVEN US BOTH TO HELP US GET TO WHERE WE ARE TODAY! Rylee has just recently learned how to fold her arms and say amen and its been our new entertainment at the dinner table. Today me and ry were outside on the deck at my moms eating a popcycle. She loves popcycles and will go to the fridge, point up and say "ky cul" which after forever I figured out, means popcycle. So anyway while we were eating the popcylces outside, she kept saying ky cul...mmmm! Then out of no where she folded her arms and clear as day said, "thank you, ky cul, mmmm...AMEN!" I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! I'm sure God got a kick out of it too.
